No More Perfect Moms 31 Day Challenge – Day 15 through 17

Day 15

“There are no perfect friends…. just fellow moms, trying to do their best and discovering that there’s more joy in doing life together.”  –Jill Savage, NO MORE PERFECT MOMS

Challenge:  Today, don’t miss a chance to let your friends know they matter to you.  And if you’ve not been the friend you want to be, now is the time to apologize.  Let them know they have a special place in your life.   If you’re forging new friendships, pick up the phone and invite another mom to meet you for coffee.  You’ll never explore a friendship possibility until you take the first step!

Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another.  Colossians 3:13

Day 16

“I once read in Dear Abby that there are two kinds of people in this world: those that walk into a room and say, “Here I am. Come talk to me. Come ask me about me. Come make me feel comfortable.” And those that walk into a room and say, “There you are! You look interesting to get to know. Tell me about yourself.”  –Jill Savage

Challenge:  As you find yourself around people you don’t know, don’t wait for them to approach you.  Take the lead.   Be intentional.  Reach out.   A simple hello or a compliment can be just what is needed to get a friendship started…or at least brighten someone’s day.

A friend loves at all times. Proverbs 17:17

Day 17

“Fear will keep things unaddressed in a friendship. It takes courage to have honest conversation when things need to be talked about in a friendship.”  –Jill Savage

Challenge:  Take a minute and assess whether there’s a friend that you need to have an honest conversation with, and then make a time to meet. Ask God to help you be prepared to share with grace and love.

One who loves a pure heart and who speaks with grace will have the king for a friend. Proverbs 22:11
