No More Perfect Moms 31 Day Challenge – Day 12 through 14

Day 12:

“There are no perfect marriages, because there are no perfect people making up the union of two lives.”  –Jill Savage, NO MORE PERFECT MOMS

Challenge:  Today, jot down the area of your marriage you want to improve the most.  Brainstorm steps that can be taken to make this area shine. Circle ideas that involve change in you and focus on those.  One by one, ask God to take control over the ones that require change from your husband.  As you pray over each, cross them off the list until the steps to improvement are only ones that involve change in you.  Work on just one of those today.

The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him. Genesis 2:18

Day 13:

“God gives us one very big “to do” in our marriage: respect our husbands. (Ephesians 5:33)   The more I am getting serious about obeying God by respecting my husband, the more I am seeing positive change happen in my marriage.”  –Jill Savage

Challenge:  Take time today to tell your husband what you respect about him.  Enjoy his response!

However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. Ephesians 5:33

Day 14:

“Change your expectations of what you will need to navigate when it comes to pursuing oneness in your marriage. Expect differences…. they will exist and sometimes they will cause conflict.”  –Jill Savage

Challenge:  Take an inventory of yourself and your spouse.  Write down the top five assets and top five weaknesses for each of you.  Then decide to celebrate the good and be grace-filled on the areas that need work.

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. I Peter 4:8
