Here’s some interesting studies presented in the fall 2005 issue of the magazine Marriage Partnership…
“‘Studies show that getting married improves mental health and decreases depression,’ says Linda Waite, a sociologist at the University of Chicago. In fact, one study found that people who never walked down the aisle are more likely to be admitted to a psychiatric facility. The intimacy found in marriage bolsters your self-worth and a sense of purpose, which actually enhances mental stability.”
“Money may not buy happiness, but according to a study at Dartmouth College, a lasting marriage can. Researchers say having a good marriage is equal to the satisfaction gained from earning an extra $100,000 a year. They also estimate that increasing the frequency of lovemaking from once a month to once a week can provide as much happiness as a $50,000 raise. So you really can be rich in love!”
Interesting pieces of info! =)
Have a great day!!
