Hallelujah!
You know you need rain when …
The other day it started raining. My two year old looked outside and exclaimed, “It’s raining!! Thank you, Jesus!!! Hallelujah!!!”

Congrats, Mark and Julie!
My brother and his fiancée eloped Friday! We knew they weren’t going to do anything big, but we were hoping for a small wedding that we would get to be apart of!! But Mark was worried about who would get invited and who wouldn’t. So, they decided to just get married!
Congratulations, Mark and Julie!!! =)
(Please keep them in your prayers.)

Junk Emails!
I’ve been busy with family here, then gone for awhile to visit family, and this weekend we’ve got more family coming.
I went to my hotmail account and had 181 messages. Sounds like I’m pretty important! Let’s see how many are not junk!! …
Well, after scrolling through my messages, only 21 were messages that I read! =) How in the world do I get so much junk? “Single Catholics” and “Sexy Blacks” are looking for me!?! That’s nice, but since I’m married and not catholic or black, why would they waste their time on me!!

Long Pause
Matt took a little over a week off, so I’ve been enjoying time with him and the girls. Abbye and Hannah are staying at Grandpa and Grandma’s tomorrow night. Matt and I, only, are going to my doctor appointment Monday. We plan on enjoying ourselves…maybe eating some place nicer and maybe going to see a movie or maybe just walking around and spend time alone!! Then Matt is playing golf with his brother on Tuesday, but after that it’s back to our regular routine.

Double Standard from South Park’s Isaac Hayes
Isaac Hayes quit the show after South Park took aim at Scientology. “Religious beliefs are sacred to people, and at all times should be respected and honored. As a civil rights activist for the past 40 years, I cannot support a show that disrespects those beliefs and practices. There is a place in this world for satire, but there is a time when satire ends and intolerance and bigotry towards religious beliefs begin.”
Matt Stone, the co-creator of South Park, said, “This is 100 percent having to do with his faith of Scientology. He has no problem – and he’s cashed plenty of checks – with our show making fun of Christians. … He wants a different standard for religions other than his own, and to me, that is where intolerance and bigotry begin.”

5 Things
My dear friend Jami tagged me. So, here goes…
5 Things in my Refrigerator:
- Left-overs
- Sprite (I wasn’t feeling well yesterday.)
- Apples
- Peaches
- Celery
5 Things in My Closet:
- Shoes
- An old jewelry box filled with fun jewelry from my great-grandma
- Matt’s gun cleaning and boot shining kits
- Clothes (Matt wears less of his clothes than I do! But, since he wears a uniform everyday, he was an excuse.)
- Gift wrapping stuff
5 Things in My Car:
- A stroller
- Empty cooler bags that I leave in the car just in case I need them
- 2 car seats (I guess we’ll need to get another one!)
- Map
- Proof of insurance (I know that for sure, Jami!!)
5 Things in My Purse:
- Pocket Bible
- Wallet
- Empty sun glass case (Hannah broke my glasses! I really need some new ones, but they have to fit in my case!!)
- Pepper spray
- Camera
The 5 people I tag are… the authors at Girls Write Out (I read their blog, but since they don’t make it over here, I’m let them know. I’m not sure if they’ll do this, but I thought their answers could be pretty humorous!! ), Lindsay, Nicole and Corinna (I know that Jami tagged Nicole and Corinna already, but since they hasn’t done it yet, I thought they needed a reminder!)

Quote from Kent Hughes
“Our lives are like photographic plates, and prayer is like a time exposure to God. As we expose ourselves to God for a half hour, an hour, perhaps two hours a day, his image is imprinted more and more upon us. More and more we absorb the image of his character, his love, his wisdom, his way of dealing with life and people.” Kent Hughes

Congrats, Matt!!
My husband was been studying and getting ready to try to promote. To promote he must pass a the test and then he goes in front of a board for a oral interview. Then he must be approved by the board.
Well, today was the day. He called around 9:00 am to let me know that he passed the test! His interview was scheduled for 10:00 am. He called around 11:30 am. He was recommended by the board!! Yeah!! It’s not official yet, but it will be very soon. So, congratulations from Abbye, Hannah, the Baby, and I!!! We love you and are very proud of you! =)

What the baby is doing today…
I have been wanting to share some info from The Pregnancy Journal which is a “A Day-to-Day Guide to a Healthy and Happy Pregnancy.” I found this when I was pregnant with Abbye and have used it each pregnancy since.
Today is day 90, and I have 176 days until the baby’s due date.
“The baby’s heart pumps about 25 quarts of blood a day during the fourth month; that rate will increase to 300 quarts of blood a day by the time it is born.”

Do you have what it takes to become a citizen?
My score was 85%. ”85-100%: Welcome to the United States! (And, truth be told, you know more about this great land than most Americans.)” Yeah!! I passed!! =)
Vist this site to take the test … http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13442226/
“When immigrants want to become Americans, they must take a civics test as part of their naturalization interview before a Citizenship and Immigration Services officer. The questions are usually selected from a list of 100 sample questions (see at http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/services/natz/English.pdf ) that prospective citizens can look at ahead of the interview (though the examiner is not limited to those questions). Some are easy, some are not. We have picked some of the more difficult ones.
Should you be welcomed immediately to the Land of the Free or sent home for some more homework? Find out!
(PLEASE NOTE: These questions are as asked on the official United States Immigration and Naturalization Services Web site. Candidates are not given multiple choices in the naturalization interview, which is conducted orally.)”
